Truitt, William Paul
July 24, 1922 - April 6, 2010
Beloved son, brother, husband, and father passed away on April 6th 2010 of natural causes. William was a pilot and co-pilot during WW2 - 5th Airforce, 90th Bomb Group, 319th Aero Squadron - Flying B-24 Liberators as one of the Jolly Rogers in the Pacific Theatre. William attended local Hollywood Schools, Selma, Bancroft, and Hollywood High School, and studied acting at LACC with Jerry Blunt. He graduated an alumni of USC, Class of 1948 with a BA in International Relations and served as Chaplain of the USC Student Council. He was a dedicated social worker for the DPSS LA County for 40 years until he retired in 1984. He was married to his sweetheart, Nathalie Marie Lindsey Truitt in 1955 until her death in 2003. He is survived and dearly missed by daughter, Stephanie Lani Truitt and son, Robert Paul Truitt. His funeral service will be held April 17th at Pierce Brothers Valhalla in North Hollywood at 12:30pm. Paul L. SpinHHS class of 1936. He was 91. According to his son, Kevin, Paul always spoke of his years at HHS with fondness. Paul would from time to time share several newspaper clippings of his HHS sports exploits. Paul always enjoyed going to the Alumni Day when he could get to it.
